Projects - Revisiting Corporate and Cultural Values Post-Hofstede

Arc-Funded Project Collaborative Research Grants Seeing Schemes
We are very excited to have won funding through the ARC's Collaborative Research Grants Seeding Schemes to run this pilot project with a multinational partner.

For over two decades, Hofstede's theory of cultural values has dominated international management research and practice (including the theory and practice of intercultural communication), but only two studies have attempted to validate the theory.

Our study replicates the original research to examine changes in organisational culture in Australia since the 1960s, and to investigate the extent to which Hofstede's theory can account for gender and cultural diversity in the contemporary workplace.
