Swinburne Cities Housing and Environment (CHE) Program
Swinburne University has been a leader in research and teaching in housing and urban studies in Australia since the 1974 foundation of the Centre for Urban and Social Research which subsequently became the Institute for Social Research (ISR).
The ISR's Cities, Housing and Environment program continues this tradition with a research, teaching, and professional development program across three broad areas.

The ISR is part of the Swinburne-Monash Research Centre of the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute
( AHURI).
