Supply problems in regional town land markets in Victoria

The Urban and Regional Land Corporation is funding this analysis of the ways in which the residential land market operates in regional towns in Victoria. The objectives are:

  • to identify whether there are market failures on the supply side of the residential land market
  • to identify the different types of failures that are evident
  • to estimate their prevalence and significance, where possible quantitatively
  • to suggest the broad policy implications of these findings.
