Australian Media Traditions 2011 will be held at Swinburne University of Technology, Hawthorn - Melbourne. View Swinburne Location and Campus Maps

Swinburne University of Technology is conveniently located just 6 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD. The campus adjoins Glenferrie Station which is a 15 minute single-line journey from the city. See Transport Options.

The public lecture by Professor Paul Duguid will be held at the State Library of Victoria, Village Roadshow Theatrette (Corner Swanston and LaTrobe Streets, Melbourne City - enter via LaTrobe St) Map

The conference dinner will be held at HuTong Dumpling Bar (14-16 Market Lane, Melbourne City) Map



Transport Options

Public Transport

The campus is located at Glenferrie Station on the Belgrave/Lilydale train line - a 15 minute journey from the Melbourne CBD. Train journey planning information is available here

The campus can also be accessed by Tram (no. 16 Melbourne University - Kew via St Kilda Beach) - Stop 74: Glenferrie Station. This is a long route - taking approx 1hr 10 mins from Melbourne CBD. A timetable is available here

Daily travel in Zone 1 is approximately $7 (full-fare) A full range of ticket options are available here

Taxi

Estimated travel costs from the Melbourne CBD to Swinburne University of Technology (Hawthorn) is $18.

Private Transport

All-day on-site parking is available for $6.50 in the Multi-deck carpark on Wakefield Street, Hawthorn.

2-3 hour Free Parking is available in the Council Carpark with entry via Serpells Lane.
