Dina Bowman

BA (Melb); Grad Dip Policy & Law (La Trobe); PhD (Swinburne) under examination
 
Dina has a background in business, the community sector and tertiary education. Her thesis, ‘The deal: Gender, entrepreneurial business and family life’, was submitted in April 2008 and is under examination. Her supervisors are Prof Michael Gilding and Dr Karen Farquharson. Her research interests centre on: economic sociology, the intersections of market and non-market activities and relations, gender and entrepreneurial business, and disability and care issues.
 
Dina is co-convenor of the Australian Sociology Association’s economic sociology thematic group www.economicsociology.org.au (website to be published July 2008). She is currently working on a Work Integrated Learning project with the Professional Learning Unit at Swinburne. She will teach Social Theory at Swinburne in second semester 2008.
