Liza is a post-doctoral research fellow at the Institute for Social Research at Swinburne University. She completed a PhD at the University of Melbourne in 2000 with an ethnoarchaeological study of a settlement site in north-eastern Turkey. She has more recently been working on a three year project investigating media use, community formation and identity amongst Australians of Turkish descent and is currently involved with the research and evaluation component of the Youthworx initiative.
