Recent projects have included: how conflict in families is understood from the perspective of different family members; the support needs of young people leaving State care; a comparative study of programs providing housing and support for people discharged from psychiatric hospitals; and attitudes and practices in relation to civic participation. Before joining ISR Meg worked for20 years in federal government agencies concerned with implementing social policies related to families, including childcare, education, income support and housing. Her particular interest is research methods, and the ways in which some forms of information come to be accepted as evidence in a policy setting, while others do not.
